Latteria BeBe Kamakura is an Italian restaurant specializing in Italian style pizzas and fresh cheeses. Run by the Yamazaki brothers, one studied for pizzaiolo in Naples and the other making traditional cheeses in Plugia. They make different types of southern Italian cheeses in a small cheese factory adjacent to the restaurant: mozzarella, burrata, stracciare, mascarpone, ricotta, caciocavallo ... they are made from fresh local Kanagawa and Totsuka milk. It is a restaurant with an extensive menu ... of Italian dishes: antipasti, pastas, pizzas, meat, salads, fish and desserts, in which the home-made cheese is widely used (especially in salads, pizzas and desserts). It should be noted that in other restaurants fresh cheese does not exist or has to come by plane from Italy, which is why it is extremely expensive. There is of course an extensive menu of Neapolitan-style pizzas that combine exceptionally with delicious home-made cheeses. The restaurant located in a renovated old traditional Japanese house has the warmth of wood and is in a quiet back alley a bit away from the hustle and bustle of the Onari Dori shopping mall.
