Sizen Mukuan (means something like without suffering) is a peculiar kaiseki restaurant, located in the city of Tanabe, in the heart of the Kii Peninsula, Wakayama prefecture. They offer kaiseki cuisine with a profusion of unique ingredients found only on the Kii Peninsula, both vegetables, meat with a local denomination of origin, as well as varieties of local fish and seafood.
