Yasubei is famous for their Gyoza cooking method frying the super thin skin on the iron plate and gets very crispy. Each dumpling is handmade when you place the order and the ingredients even don't differ from other places (classic Japanese Gyoza ingredients are ground pork, garlic chives, cabbage, ginger, etc). The dumplings here are not big an easily you can eat 2-3 orders. Since 17:30pm when they open there are lines of people waiting outside already, but it really rewards you with one of the most excellent gyoza shops in Tokyo and whole Japan. Try to avoid classic dinner time from 19:00pm-20:30pm, because they open until late, is a good idea to show up later and avoid most of the queue. The old-style Ebisu no Yasubei is located around 15 minutes walk from Ebisu Station. Great opportunity for all Japan Gourmet Pass members to enjoy a wonderful gyoza meal.
