For several years many consider this tonkatsu (fried pork cutlet) restaurant in Akihabara to be the best in Tokyo and top 10 in thw whole Japan. Tonkatsu gourmets use expression "a new level of Tonkatsu" to refer Marugo. Their pork is very juicy, soft and not at all oily. The way is deep fried makes the breadcrumbs to be super crunchy. Either you are an expert in Tonkatsu or a total beginner don't miss the chance to have a bite Marugo. Where the Tonkatsu art reaches its peak. NOTE: This shop is very popular and special, be ready to lineup outside for 20 minutes at least on peak hours, but don't let the waiting time stop you form this experience. Basically, if you don't like it, is because you don't like Tonkatsu ;) We normally don't specially recommend many venues, but in this case we encourage our Japan Gourmet Pass members to give it a try!
