Located in an old machiya (typical Kyoto house), we can find this famous soba restaurant in a quiet neighborhood. Opened in 2003 after training in Daruma (Toyama) one of the most recognized Soba in Japan. Simple but super effective menu: Soba cold or hot. Basic Oroshi (with grated radish), Tororo (grated yam), Kamo (Duck) Notsu (variety of seasonal vegetables). The Soba is full body and has a nice texture. Very busy specially weekends. Take your time, they may suddenly close if stock is sold out.
