Andy´s Shin Hinomoto is a well established izakaya (Japanese tavern), adorned with the typical "akachochin" red lantern. Open for more than 70 years, this izakaya has been run for many years by Andy, an englishman and 3rd generation of a family business after marrying the founder's grand-daughter. A classic spot among Tokyo locals: both Japanese and expats. It offers very fresh fish brought daily from the Toyosu fish market. Although, as a good izakaya, the menu is very extensive , the most req ... uested dishes are assortment of sashimi "sashimi moriawase", tempura moriawase, or " Karaage" fried ginger marinated chicken. Located under the Yurakucho train tracks, it has a retro atmosphere of post-war Japan. It is better to book in advance.
