Aozora Blue opened in 2014 by owners Hirofumi and Yuki Matsui (husband and wife) in the heart of the Honmachi district in Osaka. The restaurant is considered one of the best Udon restaurants, not only in Osaka, but in Kansai as well. After researching different ingredients, including flour, they have created their own noddles. They created their unique noodles using wheat grain. You can see them make the noodles while you eat in the restaurant. Their specialties are Jikaseki Arabiki, which look ... more like soba than udon; their soba-blend looks much more like classic udon. You also can enjoy sushi, duck, and other side dishes at Aozora Blue. They not only create some of the best udon, but their creativity and innovation have made their shop one of the most popular spots for locals.
