Bentenyama Miyako Sushi is a sushi restaurant located near Sens-ji temple and Asakusa station. It is a family-style resto opened in 1866 and still keeps the Edomae tradition alive. You will not find Uni or Ikura here or even see torches. Instead, you will find sashimi and traditional nigiris, kohada, conger eel and boiled squid or kanpyo makis. Each piece is perfectly seasoned and there is no need to add extra soy sauce. The size of the fish and the amount of rice are perfectly balanced. It has ... several menus that vary in the number of pieces. You may also opt for an Omakase service and let yourself be carried away by the chef. The prices are very reasonable although there can be long lines. It is better to book in advance. Tip: Fresh striped wasabi is used generously in each piece.
