Gion Tsujiya 祇園 つじや

Gion Tsujiya / 祇園 つじや

Gion Tsujiya is a hidden Kyoto-style Kaiseki known only to locals. Only 10% of the first visits arrive at the restaurant the first time. If you run into problems, call the restaurant from the Lawson or the nearest temple and they will pick you up. Recently relocated it is located in a traditional Kyoto house with two floors, a comfortable bar and a group room on the second floor. With just a tasting set with seasonal dishes, served in a way that recalls the typical food in New Year's wooden boxe ... s, osechi. Boiled vegetables, oyster tempura, veal (only twice a year when it is most tender), boiled rice and choose between 5 flavors. Unusual dishes for a kaiseki meal. It is necessary to book well in advance. Note: There is a 5% service charge. Menu in English for drinks only. There is only one closed menu type "omakase".
