Sushidokoro Shiawase (meaning happiness in Japanese) is one of those restaurants that when you leave you are fully satisfied and happy. You can enjoy a fixed Omakase set (chef's recommendation standards set) from around 3,000 yen, which is incredibly cheap for the delivered quality. You can find a restaurant offering this quality and price only in Hokkaido, where you can find the best fish in Japan in abundance. There is no English menu because the chef adjusts the menu to the fish available for ... the season and that is why the menu changes daily according to the best fish available in the market. If you like to drink good sake (nihonshu) the bill can climb to 6,000-8,000 yen, but again with the selection they deliver a unique meal at an incredible price. We recommend using the Japan Gourmet Pass reservation service, since is very popular among locals and not sure you can find a table available all the time. Located near the Kotoni station in Sapporo.
