Gyoza Hohei is the most famous restaurant in Kyoto for Gyoza, since featured in Michelin guide. They have different type of Gyoza being their signature dish the "ginger Gyoza" but also you can enjoy their other choice with garlic, which is also amazing. The skin of the gyoza is thin and crispy and the interior full of aroma and perfectly mixed and balanced to keep enjoy still the individual ingredients. For the sauce you can use the usual sauce but for the "ginger gyoza" we recommend you to use "Hohei" special sauce with sweet miso. Because the shop is in the middle of Gion area is not strange to find yourself eating and having next to you a Maiko or Geiko, because they also love the place. NOTE: Be ready to lineup during peak hours for at least one hour or more. We recommend you to go there late night to avoid most of the queue. Top recommendation from Japan Gourmet Pass to our members traveling to Japan to enjoy only the best cuisine.
